Now FoodsNOW® Organic Coconut Oil is from the Fiji Islands, is a high grade, unrefined premium nutritional edible oil obtained from the first cold pressing of organic coconut (Cocos nucifera) kernels. Virgin organic coconut oil is naturally trans-fatty acid free and high in medium chain triglycerides (MCT). Most commercial grade coconut oils are made from copra. Copra is basically the dried kernel (meat) of the coconut. NOTE: If following the guaifensin protocol, you may only use this for cooking. Do not apply it topically. Virgin Organic Coconut Oil.Sal-Free Do not use topically. The label on this product states that it is a supplement label however in contacting the manufacturer, they informed us that this product is no different than a product with a nutritional lablel. They lablel their product as a supplement because they sell supplements but it could just as easily be labeled with a nutritional label. *For those following the strict salicylate rulings of Dr. St. Amand: any oil that has a supplement label rather than a food label is not approved for use of any kind, even cooking. They feel that the supplement label indicates that the product is to be used for medicinal purposes and thus will be more concentrated.
