Now FoodsNOW® Organic Coconut Oil is from the Fiji Islands, is a high grade, unrefined premium nutritional edible oil obtained from the first cold pressing of organic coconut (Cocos nucifera) kernels. Virgin organic coconut oil is naturally trans-fatty acid free and high in medium chain triglycerides (MCT). Most commercial grade coconut oils are made from copra. Copra is basically the dried kernel (meat) of the coconut. NOTE: If following the guaifensin protocol, you may only use this for cooking. The label on this product states that it is a supplement label however in contacting the manufacturer, they informed us that this product is no different than a product with a nutritional lablel. They feel that the supplement label indicates that the product is to be used for medicinal purposes and thus will be more concentrated.
