Specifically, it includes Silicone, Cortisone and Vitamin E. Silicone - the basis of many other scar products, sometimes in "sheets" and other times in the form of a liquid. This silicone is time proven and considered safe and effective in diminishing scars. Cortisone - decreases inflammation associated with the scar formation. May also relieve discomfort associated with irratation and scar formation. Vitamin E - an oil based vitamin that may have beneficial properties including softening of scars. Note: A customer called the company and they were told that this product works only on raised scars. Ingredients: 0.5% Hydrocortisone, 12% Silicone & Vitamin E in a Specially Formulated Collodian USP Base.
